Nicole Renee
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nicole Renée, born March 5, 1975, first
gained attention as one of the hosts on the BET program Teen Summit. The show
featured teen presenters interviewing major recording artists of the day, and
discussing topics of interest to teens. Though the Julliard attendee had planned
on a career in classical music, she signed with Atlantic Records as an R&B
artist. Her debut album, 1998’s Nicole Renee, was unique because she had a hand
