Formed in 2021 by JYP Entertainment, Japanese-Korean idol group NIK united the
top 11 members selected from the audition program G-EGG produced by Yoonhak of
the dance and vocal boy group SUPERNOVA. Forming their namesake from an acronym
for the English words "New", "Inspire" and "Kindle," the group comprises members
from various other boy bands, including Lee Gunmin of K-pop boygroup B.I.G.,
