Niko Moon
Although singer-songwriter Niko Moon identifies as being a country music artist,
his music shows an interesting mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and reggae influences,
as well. Born "Nicholas Cowan" on September 20, 1982, he was raised in Tyler,
Texas, by a truck-driving father who influenced Moon's musical interests as a
child. A talented athlete, Moon won a scholarship to Samford University in
Alabama, but soon his love of music became more important to him than his
studies and he dropped out to concentrate on his music career. It was at this
