The German pop singer Nino De Angelo was born Domenico Gorgoglione in Karlsruhe
in 1983 and is of Italian descent. He rose to fame with the release of his 1983
hit 'Jenseits Von Eden' which topped the German charts for ten weeks. The track,
which was written by Christopher Ironside and Drafi Deutscher, had a second
lease of life when an Italian language version recorded by Gorgoglione also
reached number one in the French charts, a position it held for five weeks. The
following year a version titled 'Guardian Angel' was a minor hit in the UK
