NJ started out as a dancer, then joined the We Are One choir, before becoming
Zaho's backing vocalist in 2008 and opening for the singer in 2009. In 2010, he
self-released the track "Danser", which blends R&B vocals with dance beats. Sony
- BMG then placed their trust in him, releasing the acoustic R&B EP Le Calme
Avant le Tempo in September 2011.
