NLE Choppa – born Bryson Potts on November 1, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee - is a
rapper who has also used the names YNR Choppa, Awakened Choppa, Baby Mexico, and
Top Shotta. A keen basketball player when he was young, he started freestyling
with friends at the age of 14. Early in 2019, the then-16-year-old turned to
social media and uploaded a video of himself performing “Shotta Flow” while
