Danish pop star Oh Land was born Nanna Øland Fabricius on May 2, 1985 in
Copenhagen. The daughter of musicians, she studied ballet seriously until a back
injury ended any chance of a career in dance. Her first album, 2008’s Fauna, set
her sonic template, danceable songs with electronica flourishes that reminding
critics of artists like Lily Allen and Robyn. Her live shows featured elaborate
choreography, and the attention she was drawing led to her 2010 breakthrough Oh
