Starting out in his parents' basement playing around with keyboards and computer
programmes, Adam Young found songs and music naturally pouring out of his
imagination and he soon had scores of whimsical, cheery, electronic pop tunes.
Driven by insomnia and boredom, the Minnesotan started posting his demos on
MySpace and the popularity of his track Hello Seattle earned a deal with
Universal Records in 2008. Taking the name Owl City because of its random
