Born in Forbach, Moselle, on December 5, 1966, it didn't take long for Patricia
Kaas, the most Germanic of French-speaking singers, to be adopted by audiences
on an international scale, seduced by the blues singer's husky voice. Some
voices start singing in early childhood, simply for pleasure, out of an
unexplained urge. She enjoyed international success with "Mademoiselle chante le
