Paul Elstak
Paul Roger Elstak is not only a veteran of the gabber scene - he is also its
pioneer. Born in The Hague on January 14, 1966, the DJ's career began in 1987 in
the Rotterdam club BlueTiek-in. in 1992, Elstak founded his own label, Rotterdam
Records, which mainly released hardcore techno and happy hardcore tracks. The
producer, who succeeded in transferring the underground impetus of Gabber to the
mainstream, landed a coup in 1995 with his debut album May the Forze Be with
You. The album, which reached number 11 in the Dutch charts, contained a total
of five singles - "Life Is Like ...
