Pearls Before Swine
Pearls Before Swine was the name of a band formed by folk rock singer-songwriter
Tom Rapp in the mid-1960s. They made six albums performing a mix of folk,
psychedelia and rock music and disbanded in 1974 when Rapp went on to a brief
solo career and then quit to become a civil rights lawyer. Noted for poetic
anthems that decried the state of the world, the group's first release was 'One
Nation Underground' in 1967 followed by 'Balaklava' in '68. The original players
left after that and Rapp hired other musicians for 'These Things Too' (1969) and
