The Korean-American rapper and singer known as Peniel was born Peniel Shin on
March 10, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois. He relocated to Seoul with his family
during his adolescence and became a trainee for Cube Entertainment shortly
after. In 2012, he made his official debut with the idol group BTOB, with whom
he released a series of commercially successful blockbuster albums that went on
to dominate the South Korean charts. His debut English mixtape, Homesick Mixtape
