The English guitarist Peter White rose to prominence as a sideman for Al Stewart
with his distinctive jazz-influenced style acting as counterpoint to Stewart's
folk-orientated playing. During his 20-year tenure with Stewart, White co-wrote
many of his songs including the US number one hit 'Time Passages' which also
made the top ten in the UK.
During the 1980s White also accompanied the Polish singer Basia on a number of
critically-acclaimed albums. The association with Basia came about through
