Starting out as an Italian rock singer in the 1950s, Pino Donaggio went on to
become a film composer. He is best known for his collaboration with Brian de
Palma on Carrie (1976), Pulsions (1980), Blow Out (1981), and Body Double
(1984). Prolific, he appears in the credits of numerous transalpine films,
whereas his contributions to international cinema are often confined to genre
films. In 2013, he reunited with Brian de Palma for the latter's return to
Hitchcock thrillers with Passion.
