Pras, who was born Samuel Prakazrel Michel in New York City on October 19, 1972, became known in the course of his musical career primarily as an integral part of The Fugees. The songwriter and rapper, who met Lauryn Hill, singer of The Fugees, at school, has also made a name for himself in the music biz outside of his traditional hip-hop formation.
