Lebanese hitmaker Ramy Ayach earned his "Pop Star" crown through dogged
commitment to the cultural cause. Born on August 18, 1980 in Baakline, Lebanon,
he came into prominence after winning the lauded Pan-Arab talent show
competition Studio Al Fan in 1997. The win paved the way for his debut album,
Ra2e3, which was released in 1998 and yielded hits in "Bghanila w bde2ela" and
"la3younak bade ghane." He went on to cement his status as a leading light of
