Ravi Basrur
Best known for his multiple contributions to the Kannada film industry, Indian
film music composer, sound designer, and lyricist Ravi Basrur was born on
January 1, 1984, in the coastal town of Kundapura. He grew up in extreme poverty
and worked as a sculptor in Bangalore before moving to Mumbai to pursue a career
in music. Prior to his debut as a musical director, he worked as a programmer in
more than 62 films. In 2014, he rose to acclaim with the soundtrack of the 2014
Prashanth Neel-directed action thriller Ugramm, which won the Zee Music Award
