R&B singer Rell, born Gerrell Gaddis on July 22, 1976, abandoned his medical
studies at South Carolina State University to make it in the music business. In
1997 he signed with Roc-A-Fella records and began shaping his debut album. His
debut single, “Ghetto Stash” featuring Memphis Black failed to make a dent on
the charts. He continued to work on his first album, releasing the single “Love
for Free” in 1998. When that and two follow-up singles were indifferently
