The son of Motown Records founder and CEO Berry Gordy and Margaret Norton,
Rockwell was born Kennedy William Gordy on March 15, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan
and enjoyed a short-lived recording career spanning just two years. Featuring
the background vocals of none other than brothers Michael and Jermaine Jackson,
Rockwell’s 1984 synth-funk classic “Somebody’s Watching Me” was released on
Motown Records on the US singer-songwriter’s debut studio album of the same. The
