Although his first solo album was only released in 2014, Brazilian Rodrigo
Amarante has been an international figure on the alternative rock scene since
1999. First as a member of the Brazilian rock band Los Hermanos, then from 2008
as part of the American-Brazilian trio Little Joy. He has also collaborated with
Tom Zé and Devendra Banhart, taking part in Megapuss with the latter in 2008. In
February 2014, he released Cavalo, an album on which he reimagines Brazilian
song in his own way. The song "Mon Nom" , sung in French, had a certain impact
in France in June 2014.
