S.P. Balasubrahmanyam
Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, who goes by the name S.P.
Balasubrahmanyam, is what is known in India as a playback singer, which means he
records songs for movies. Since 1965, he has recorded an extraordinary number of
tracks for innumerable Bollywood films that earned him a Guinness World Record
and domestic film awards. He has collaborated with many top Indian artists
including composer A.R. Rahman. His most famous tracks include 'Chumma Kizhi'.
