Saïk, whose real name is Yoann Pierre-Justin, is a French dancehall reggae
artist born on March 19, 1987 in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. He grew up in the
Mortenol district, where he was influenced by local figures such as Admiral T.
At the age of 12, Saïk formed the duo GwadaBoyz with his friend Fredo Deado,
performing on the local underground scene. This duo later merged with the group
Inertie to create the Mortenol Crew, including artists such as SamX and Ocsen.
