Samuel Seo, born Seo Dong-hyeon on May 3, 1991, in Seoul, is a South Korean
singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer. Growing up, he lived in Japan,
the United States, and Canada, where he became fluent in Japanese and English.
Initially aspiring to be a pianist, Samuel Seo discovered his passion for hip
hop during high school in South Korea after hearing 50 Cent’s "Outta Control."
Inspired by Korean rap music, he joined the Bigdeal Squads collective in 2008
under the stage name Samuel, drawn from the biblical figure. In 2010, Samuel Seo
