A former member of Houston's ultra-rare Geto Boys, Scarface, always sporting a
cane and bowler hat, delivers a rap that's as violent as it is desperate. His
first album, Mr Scarface Is Back (1991), contains the beautiful "A Minute To
Pray And A Second To Die", which sums up the anguished universe of this great
depressive. In 1993, Scarface was wounded and his friend killed during an
altercation with a policeman. It was enough to fuel the nightmares of the author
of "Diary Of A Madman".
