Sean Price is an American rapper born in Brooklyn on March 17, 1972. He began
his career as "Ruck" in the group Heltah Skeltah. The duo's first album,
Nocturnal, released in 1996, met with some success. He was also a member of The
Boot Camp Click collective. After the band split up, he did a stint as a drug
dealer and returned to the mike in 2004 under his real name, Sean Price. Taking
advantage of the reformation of Duck Down Records, he released a series of
albums that met with critical acclaim, notably Monkey Barz in 2005 and Mic Tyson
in 2012.
