Heavily inspired by emo and pop-punk, Set It Off formed in 2008 in Tampa,
Florida. The band's frontman, Cody Carson, had already built an audience on his
YouTube page, and the group expanded that audience with a series of
independently-released EPs like 2008's Baby, You Don't Tripajaharda and 2009's
Calm Before the Storm before signing with the punk label Equal Vision Records in
2011. Cinematics, Set It Off's full-length debut album, followed in 2012,
