Born on May 3, 1968, in Modesto, California, Shane Minor enjoyed a brief career
as a country artist before rebranding himself as a popular songwriter for other
artists. His self-titled debut album, Shane Minor, was released in 1999. Two
songs, "Slave to the Habit" and "Ordinary Love," became Top 40 country hits in
America and Top 10 hits in Canada. Minor spent a year on the road with Shania
Twain, serving as the opening act on her wildly successful Come On Over Tour.
