Hailing from Fort Collins, Colorado, the folk band SHEL consists of four Holbrook sisters: Sarah, Hannah, Eve, and Liza. The daughters of musician Andrew Holbrook developed their musical skills early, each gaining a command of several different instruments, and played in their father’s band. In 2005, the quartet struck out on their own taking the name of their new group from the first letter of each member’s name.
