Following in the footsteps of her aunt Nanette Fabray, who was a Tony Award-winning star of vaudeville theatre, Shelley Fabares began acting at just three-years-old and was barely in her teens when she became part of the hugely popular late 50s, early 60s sitcom The Donna Reed Show. It led to her releasing debut album Shelley! in 1962, and scoring the big hit Johnny Angel, which topped the US charts and sold over a million copies.
