A pioneer of gospel music combined with reggae in the Caribbean, Sherwin Gardner
was born on February 14, 1979 in Arima, on the island of Trinidad and Tobago.
Born into a line of evangelicals, he continues to follow this path, combining it
with reggae, gospel, dancehall and soca. A church singer since the age of five,
he released his first album, Power in the Name, at the age of seventeen.
Prepared for the stage by his gospel-singing uncle Kennedy Patterson, he
