A key figure in Skunk Anansie's "clit-rock" sound, Skin embarked on a solo
career after the band's demise in 2001. Moving from a furious punk style to a
slightly electro pop rock, Skin disappointed her most committed fans with
Fleshwounds in 2003. However, the album was a big hit in Italy and Germany. Fake
Chemical State in 2006, on the other hand, confirms her decline in inspiration.
