Using a plethora of unlicensed samples from hip hop, soul and house music,
German producers Michael Munzing and Luca Anzilotti suddenly found that they had
a huge club anthem on their hands in 1990. Legal action forced them to recruit
Pittsburgh rapper Turbo B and R&B singer Penny Ford to re-record the track The
Power, and suddenly Snap! were born. With the bellowed refrain "I've got the
power", it became the first rap single to top the UK chart and reached Number 2
