Swedish singer Shahrzad Fooladi, aka Snoh Aalegra, was born in Uppsala in 1987.
She grew up in the town of Enköping and at the age of 13 attracted the attention
of Sony in Sweden who subsequently signed her up for their artist development
programme. She began her career performing under the stage name Sheri and
released her first single in 2009 titled 'Hit and Run'. After it peaked at
number 12 in the Swedish Charts, she swiftly followed it up with 'U Got Me Good'
which reached number two. A year later she released her debut album 'First
Sign'.
