South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress Kim Yong-sun (born on February 21,
1991, in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, South Korea), known as Solar, made her debut as a
vocalist in girl group Mamamoo on June 18, 2014, alongside Moonbyul, Wheein, and
Hwasa. Her solo journey commenced on April 24, 2018, with the release of her
first solo EP, titled Solar's Emotion. This EP featured previously released
covers of various Korean pop songs and her solo rendition of Mamamoo's “Star
Wind Flower Sun," which she penned herself. Officially marking her solo debut,
Solar released the single "Spit It Out...
