French rapper Souffrance is first and foremost a member of the l'uZine
collective from Montreuil, alongside artists such as Cenza, TonyToxik and Tonio
Le Vakeso. In the early 2000s, he began his rap career by composing his first
lyrics in the family kitchen, without ever considering making it his profession.
After working for five years in accountancy, however, he decided to devote
himself seriously to music. In addition to his many collaborations, Souffrance
soon opened his own record label. His projects include C'est Du Lourd Ta Race in
2008, followed by the EP Le Peuple A Faim...
