Spiritbox
Formed by husband and wife Courtney LaPlante and Mike Stringer, Spiritbox is a
Canadian metal band from Victoria, British Columbia. The pair also played
together in an American metalcore band named Iwrestledabearonce before founding
Spiritbox in 2016. Combining progressive metal with other styles such as
metalcore and djent, they made their debut in 2017 with an eponymous EP released
via Consumer Records. The following year, Spiritbox issued the singles
“Perennial,” “Electric Cross,” and “Trust Fall.” The EP Singles Collection
