Young novelist and musician, singer and guitarist Mikel Jollett formed the band
The Airborne Toxic Event in Los Angeles in 2006 with Steven Chen (guitar,
keyboards), Noah Harmon (bass), Anna Bulbrook (keyboards, viola) and Daren
Taylor (drums). Combining the foundations of 1980s post-punk with electronic and
classical elements, the band, which takes its name from a passage in Don
DeLillo's novel White Noise, first recorded the track "Does This Mean You're
