The Angels
Best known for the hit single My Boyfriend's Back, tough-sounding girl band The
Angels actually started out life as doo-wop band The Starlets before a name
change and two top 40 hits brought them to the attention of songwriters Feldman,
Goldstein and Gottehrer. The songwriters had written My Boyfriend's Back with a
view to pitching it to The Shirelles and asked The Angels to record a demo
version. The recording sounded so good the music publishers wisely decided to go
