Playing gritty sweat-soaked punk laced with Americana, The Gaslight Anthem hit
it big with their third album American Slang, helped by the patronage of famous
fan and fellow New Jersey singer Bruce Springsteen. Strongly influenced by the
Jersey punk movement, they released their first album Sink Or Swim in 2007,
which was well received, leading to the four-track EP Senor & The Queen and then
their second full album, The '59 Sound (2008). This was voted Number 1 album of
