The Head and the Heart
The Seattle indie folk band The Head and the Heart have been on an upward
trajectory in the music business since forming in 2009. The band started out
selling their own albums (packaged in hand made denim sleeves) at gigs and
through local record stores. Interest in the band grew so rapidly that the shops
frequently ran out of stock. After what has been described as a feeding frenzy
of activity from A&R men eager to sign the band they cut a deal with Sub Pop who
re-released the group's self titled debut album.
