The Hooters
Taking their name from a nickname for the melodica, The Hooters first got
together in 1980 and became one of America's biggest bands through that decade -
Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman first met in 1971 at the University of Pennsylvania
and played together in Philadelphian band Baby Grand, which went on to make two
albums. The Hooters' determined rock style quickly made them a success on the
Philadelphia club scene, leading to a major tour with The Who and their debut
