The Jungle Giants formed in 2011 in Brisbane, Australia, where frontman Sam Hales, lead guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris, and drummer Keelan Bijker had all graduated high school two years prior. Inspired by indie-rock, pop, and contemporary dance music, the group released a self-titled EP in July 2011.
