The Rural Alberta Advantage's blend of indie-folk and indie-rock earned the
group a handful of Top 40 singles on the Canada Rock chart throughout the 2010s,
as well as a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize in 2011. Formed by
vocalist/guitarist Nils Edenloff, keyboardist/bassist Amy Cole, and drummer Paul
Banwatt in Toronto, Canada, in 2005, the group released a self-titled EP one
year later, followed by the debut album Hometowns in 2008. Hometowns' popularity
attracted the attention of Saddle Creek Records, who signed The Rural Alberta
Advantage in 2009 and reissued the album ...
