The lovechild of singer-songwriters Steve Tannen and Deb Talan, The Weepies are an indie folk-pop husband-wife duo known for their delicate, acoustic stylings and endearing vocal harmonies. Rooted in mutual admiration, the group became a reality in 2001 after Talan attended one of Tannen’s shows in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The duo soon started writing music together and independently released Happiness, their studio debut, in 2003.
