West Indian singer Thierry Cham emerged in the early 1990s with his zouk-tinged
songs. In 1994, the album Ultime Confession and the track "Coup de foudre "
launched his career. With each successive album, the singer's style evolved,
culminating in his becoming the ambassador of French R&B with "Océan", taken
from the album Autrement (2003). He made a remarkable comeback in 2008 with the
album Là D'où Je Viens and une place à reconquérir. Two new singles, "L'Amour
idéal" and "Tout le monde", precede the release of L'Un Pour L'Autre in 2011.
