As a teenager drawn to the Southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, Travis found his niche in the outlaw movement. Preceded by two hits, "Country Club" and "Help Me Hold On", the first album entered the Top 10 in March 1990, selling over a million copies.
