Ute Freudenberg (born January 12, 1956 in Schöndorf near Weimar) is a rock, pop
and pop singer from Germany. Her musical career began in the mid-1970s in the
GDR. The artist celebrated her first successes as the lead singer of the rock
band Elefant. The 1980 album Jugendliebe and the single of the same name are
among the GDR's rock classics. In 1984, Ute Freudenberg uses a TV appearance in
West Germany to turn her back on the GDR. It takes a while for the singer to
