Founded in Namur (Belgium) in 2004 by Lionel Meunier, who became its permanent
artistic director, and Francis Penning, the Vox Luminis vocal ensemble
specializes in music from the 16th to 18th centuries. Several of its singers are
graduates of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Renowned for its recordings,
the ensemble performs throughout Europe, notably at festivals. Under contract to
the Ricercar label, it made its first recording of Scarlatti's Stabat Mater in
