Taking their name from a local slang expression, Voz Veis was a Latin pop band
formed in Maracaibo, Venezuela, in 1994. Born as an a cappella group that
performed at parties and events, it consisted of singers Luis Leal, Gustavo
González, Santiago and Luis Fernando "Luigi" Castillo, and Roberto Ignacio and
Carlos Labrador. In 1997, they signed with the indie label Airó Music and made
their official debut later that year with the album Lo Mejor Aún Está Por Venir.
