Yann Tiersen
Multi instrumentationalist and composer Yann Tiersen was born June 23, 1970 in
Brest, France. He became celebrated for his minimalist style on guitar, piano,
synthesiser and other instruments on several albums released since his recording
debut, 1995’s La Valse des Monstres. He had already been creating tracks for
plays and films and his follow-up release, 1997’s Rue des Cascades included the
title track, sung by Claire Pichet, which was used in the French film The
Dreamlife of Angels, and several tracks that were included on the soundtrack of
the hit 2001 film Le Fabuleux Destin...
